Robert Walters UKNA New Artist of the Year Award , Saatchi Gallery, London (2023)

In November 2023, Thompson was a selected finalist for the Robert Walters UK New Artist of the Year prize.

Her installation and painting work, 'Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine', was exhibited alongside 9 other finalists, with Kim taking the runner up prize.

Created in response to the 'Grass is Greener' entry theme, 'Blessed Assurance...' is a semi - autobiographical work, exploring the links between family, religion, Windrush - era Caribbean migrants, and the safe spaces these communities created upon arrival to the UK.
